About Dr. Timothy Jones
Dr. Timothy Jones is a musician, artist and teacher with deep connections to both North and South America. He is Assistant Professor of Music at Wichita State University in Kansas, and Associate Concertmaster of the Wichita Symphony. As a violinist, he has performed as a soloist, ensemble musician and concertmaster in the U.S. and Brazil.
Jones’s professional trajectory in academia and classical music has long been paralleled by his study of vigesimal mathematics and the Law of Time. During his years in Porto Alegre, Brazil, he anchored a group which met weekly for practices including physical and synchrogalactic yoga, mantra, meditation, and study of diverse spiritual texts. He is deeply grateful to have introduced hundreds of Kin to vigesimal mathematics and the synchronic order.
As a teacher, Jones takes equal pleasure in working with musical, mathematical and spiritual knowledge. He has taught violin lessons since 2003 and held positions at several extracurricular music schools. In both the United States and Brazil, he was involved with social projects providing music education to youth in rural communities. Presently, Jones maintains the violin studio and additionally teaches Music Education courses at Wichita State University. He co-constructed an introductory course in the Law of Time in the southern hemisphere which is now being expanded and applied in the United States.
Jones asserts that for the human race to survive the entropic collapse of its current civilization depends upon the development of higher mental and emotional faculties on the part of each individual human. Toward this end, he studies and teaches the mathematical and spiritual tools of the Law of Time — knowledges through which disciplined humans may learn to assume their power and responsibility as co-creators of Time and Space.
Ultimately, all of Jones’s work — academic, musical and spiritual — strives toward the unification of science, spirituality and art through knowledge of number.
